Helper in need or knight in shining armor? The MarketBAG is all this and much more for us. When you're at the lake and your snack hunger doesn't fit into two hands or your short visit to the market turns out to become a bulk purchase, then be sure to carry your MarketBAG. The minimalist sewing pattern, exclusively designed by Annika Wienstroer of @frau.a.w. , impresses from every point of view. Both versatile and quickly sewn, it is your stylish companion no matter what. What trendy material will you use for your MarketBAG?

What you'll need

  • Download sewing pattern
  • Fabric of 60 cm x 120 cm: you can use any woven fabric for the bag (e.g. jeans, nylon, canvas, oilskin, linen, cotton, etc.)
  • SCHMETZ needles suitable for your fabric (take a look at the useful SCHMETZ Needle ABC )
  • Thread to match your fabric
  • A lining is not needed for the MarketBag

Cutting

Cut out the pattern piece twice.

Optionally, you can fold the fabric for cutting (we recommend the fabric break at the bottom) if you have chosen a fabric with a pattern without direction. Be sure to mark the break line on the fabric.

A seam allowance of 1 cm is already included in the pattern.

Position the pattern piece on the fabric and cut around it. Mark the fold lines on the wrong side of the fabric.
