More information about embroidery
While sewing is commonly referred to as a joining technique, embroidery, Schiffli embroidery, and quilting are considered mere decoration processes. What makes embroidery special is that the length and direction of every stitch can be freely varied.
In addition to machine embroidery on single- and multihead embroidery machines there is also Schiffli embroidery, which is used to produce high-quality products. This type of embroidery is used in the production of exclusive garments, in manufacturing lace for lingerie, for wedding and evening dresses, and in the area of home textiles such as curtains, table cloths and other accessories. The optimal machine setting and the correct choice of needle and thread are extremely important. Needle and thread breakages cause skipped stitches and damage to the material that can destroy the embroidery appearance or lead to expensive reworkings. Besides the aesthetic requirements, high-quality embroidery should also meet the requirements of form stability and durability. All parameters which influence the embroidery must be carefully coordinated: material, needle, thread, and machine setting.
