Browser hints

In order to view and use the catalogue correctly and completely, you must have a JavaScript-compatible HTML browser with graphics capability, such as the Microsoft Internet Explorer (version 3.0 and upwards) or the Netscape Navigator (version 3.0 and upwards).
Furthermore you must enable View/ Options/ Security/ ActiveXScripts (MS Internet Explorer) or
Options/ Network Preferences/ Languages/ Enable JavaScript (Netscape Navigator).


An optimum display of texts and pictures is achieved with the following settings in the "Options" of the respective browser program:
Font = Times (New Roman), Size = 12 (Netscape) or
Fontsize = Medium (MS Internet Explorer).


When printing out the individual pages, you should set the margins in "File/ Page Setup" to "1 cm" and the text print-out to "Black Text" (Netscape) so that text shown in white on a dark background in the catalogue is also printed out correctly.


In the Schmetz on-line catalogue, links usually have text colour (e.g. black on white or white on blue). Links are underlined (unless disabled in browser settings). Visited links are grey.


The HTML pages of the Schmetz needle catalogue are optimised for use on a colour monitor with a diagonal picture size of at least 17 inches and the ability to display at least 256 colours.


Note:
If you upgrade to MS Internet Explorer 3.x, please make sure that the older versions of MS Internet Explorer are completely removed before installing the new version. Otherwise Internet Explorer might not be correctly installed.
